Basically, just don't use mods in events, ever. Even in the normal stages can get you banned. I've learned it from the hard way. Just use the mod if you're want to easy grind for exp or gold in story mode at the latest chapter.

Not for me. I can still using the mods. Perhaps that you're accidentally using the mods in the events? (even in the unranked stages can get you banned.)
