So far, only WWE Mayhem is using weird protection in Assembly-Csharp.dll file. If you mod the dll, the game won't load, caused exceptions behind it
As the developer finally moved to il2cpp, I can now tell how I bypassed protection
Assuming you are using dnSpy. Before saving DLL, preserve all MD Tokens and save
Saving may cause error with some changes you made. If it happens, undo your changes and edit in IL as possible instead C#, until there is no errors during saving.
