100% agreed.

I wasn't able to install unsigned apk before though my os was fully patched with LP.

With Core Patch everything is working fine.

Was the same for me too. Just Magisk worked to bypass safetynet. Edxposed triggered it.

I've tried lsposed module instead of exposed and if I'm fine everything is works well and does not trigger safetynet.
