Since this is a multiplayer event, playing during this time might get your account flagged for unusual activity by JC. If you don't want to risk losing your progress, it's best to take a break from the game until the event wraps up on September 1st.
Just because you're not participating in those events doesn't mean you're not enrolled in them. With Full Marks, you're sorted into a group the very second you finish loading into the game. With House Pride, you get a slight delay - you don't get placed into a group unless you've earned a few House Points from things like story events, study sessions, etc.One question, do I have more chances of being banned If I'm buying like 500 energy per day and then playing in my phone normally or should I stop doing that and just play in the emulator with the "No Energy Consume" option? Or is there no problem in how much energy I buy and if I'm not playing in HP and FM events I'm fine?

The problem isn't whether or not you get caught specifically. If you or anyone else in your FM/HP group gets reported for suspicious behavior, Jam City will silently audit the accounts of everyone in your group. As soon as they find any discrepancies, subtle or not, you get banned within a few days. You could be super careful during a multiplayer event, but if some other dumbass in your group decides to go full ham with their cheats, you're still getting banned. It's pure luck, really. And if you really care about your account and not grinding through the main quest, we strongly recommend that you don't play at all during multiplayer events.
Most events start or end at 9pm UTC. You'll have to convert that into your own timezone. Multiplayer events generally last for 6 days. Edit: I know there's a spreadsheet that says when is it going to have a Full Marks or House Pride event, but they don't say the exact time they start and end, is it random or is it the same every event?
Is the free gems part broken? I'm getting this error and it crashes my game

It was just the base cat for 215 gems. Just tried again though and it's working now so I'm not sure what was up with it before.Does the pet that you are trying to buy cost gems or books?
Because this error usually comes up only when you try to buy something that has a price that is not coins or gems (Probably brown books in this case).
