It doesn't go black, it just shows an error message that says it failed to log in to Facebook

Well, I understand that you cannot create an account connected to Facebook from the modified game, therefore you have to do it from the official game and then do the procedure to connect with the modified game.
If this is not the case and you already have the account created and want to connect it to the modified game and you still get that message, I really don't know what the solution would be, these errors do not happen frequently. I would say that maybe someone here with more experience on the topic knows the solution and can help you.

The same thing happened to me too and in fact I have been commenting on it these days, that the guides they showed did not work.

It turns out that you have to follow the steps indicated by G-bo on the main page, where you download the latest version of the mod and version 5.2.2.
In these steps it is indicated that you have to install the latest version of the mod, if you have progress without logging into Facebook (that is, saved on the device) you will have to go to the settings where you always save manually, and click on new game.
Once you confirm restarting the game, exit immediately and delete the latest version mod, and install version 5.2.2

It's complicated to explain but, it turns out that when you do that, when you enter version 5.2.2, the mod this time will give you the option "later" since you don't have progress on the device and thanks to that you don't The message about just updating will appear, as has happened to many of us, since you have restarted your progress on the device and you have to create your avatar again.

It is now when you have to connect your account to Facebook with version 5.2.2 of the mod and you can log in easily.
After that you have to simply update the mod to the latest version again, without deleting version 5.2.2 of course.

2 IMPORTANT THINGS

1. You have to have an account already connected to Facebook in the official play store game previously to be able to log in to the mod (I assume you know this but just in case I'll warn you).
2. I recommend that you change the clothing and hairstyle of your avatar in the Facebook account already created, before doing this entire procedure.
Since it may cause an error when connecting to Facebook in version 5.2.2, put him in the simple tunic from your Hogwarts house, remove all his accessories and give him an old hairstyle.

Maybe you have already read the steps but just in case, here is the guide that G-BO leaves on the first page, a little detailed in my own way haha.

I think it's chapter 5 but it was made into a seasonal Halloween TLSQ so it won't trigger until October, even if you are at the right chapter.

It works on phones, but your phone will need to be rooted for it to work. Otherwise, if your account is already linked to facebook you could install bluestacks emulator on your pc as it is very easy to root, and log into HPHM with your account so that you can use game guardian there. You could log in, lower the TLSQ timer, save, and then go back to playing on your phone.

Im logged in on FB. Im going to sound like a total moron, what do i do? I have blustacks x on my pc.

So in total there would be 3 tlsq that appear in a specific month, right, since one is in December, then there would be two that come out in October because one is for Halloween and the one for the troll.

Assuming that you can still access the game on your phone, you need to unequip your necklace from your character (as this item doesn't exist in the 5.2.2 version of the game). To be extra safe you can unequip any glasses and bracelet as well, and equip your character with some basic items such as the school robes. You can change them all back once you are logged in and back on the most recent version.

Managed to get bluestacks to connect to FB...but when i install the new version, after intro screen, its just black.
