Load your save on a vanilla version of the game on another mobile device or emulator on your PC (like Bluestacks or Nox) and see if you can get past whatever is causing it to freeze. Sometimes glitches are localized to a specific device for some silly, arbitrary reason. If it works, play on the vanilla game until you finish the current chapter, then you can save and go back to using the mod. That's why we always recommend keeping the vanilla game installed and logged into the same save file on another device.
If it doesn't work, you'll just have to sit and wait and hope that the next update fixes the freeze. Or start a new save file. Up to you.
