I'm reading all of these comments and wonder how the damn stoopid game changed over the years. I played it in the past from full modding to modding on the emulator and playing legit on my phone with the PlayStore version. Why everyone recommends now to not play at all when multiplayer events happen? What are these events? The game was only designed to tap the screen and either cheat it it or waste your monthly salary to buy energy in order to proceed through the baaaasic story... What now? I read a lot but still can't get it completely. Why playing safe with a vanilla version is still a problem? How can you play these MP events then?

Playstore and dc. We don't know what's the event yet. Might be a false alarm too. But, just to be on the safe side, close your game nearing that time and keep watch of any information today through their social media.

Yeah, HP is relatively safer than FM, but because it's one of the MP events that's generally safe, it's easy for people to get careless and forget that only 2 HP are needed to be sorted into a group.

There are many ways you can accidentally get house points through the main story and TLSQ/SQ. If you know the drill, that's good. But sometimes, others need a reminder. Still, we don't know for sure if it's a regular event or a MP event or even no event at all. As for me, I always avoid playing around the times when events are usually launched. It's become a habit now.

In theory, you could just look up what you're doing to see if there's any house points involved. In practice, I ain't ever taking that risk!

It's that risk that makes me tell people not to bother in the first place. Unless you meticulously look it up, you never know when a story interaction will result in someone giving you five house points, then bam. You're in the event.
