It still doesnt work. I tried it with original game apk and facebook app, it worked. Original game with browser Facebook didn't work. Maybe they did something that makes it not possible to login via browser?

I got this issue...

Don't use the original app! indeed they increased the security verifications with 5.3 version.
Try to link your Facebook with the 5.2.2 mod, then update it with the 5.3 mod (when the game ask for it), without uninstall 5.2.2, and your save will be linked. It works, but forget the official app, it blocks the Facebook save for the mod users.
 
I dont think its got anything to do with increased security. I believe its when "mod users" decide to update the mod using the actual playstore version. Or they installed a mod on the actual appstore version. You dont install a mod to thr game and decide to update the mod from a place you didnt install it from, especially if its from the app store.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately now it seems like it forces you to update to 5.3 before being able to access the game.

Ok it seems like it only forces the upgrade on the device I tried to uninstall 5.3 and reinstall 5.2.2. I installed 5.2.2 on a different device and it works fine and then I was able to update to 5.3
 
I'm glad it's working now for others.
I think we have to keep version 5.2.2 in case.
Now that it's confirmed by many people, the game blocks modded FB saves in 5.3.
To connect to another device... to reinstall the game, version 5.2.2 will become necessary to avoid the "black screen 5.3"

I was banned 3 years ago, I was in 7th year, and I have been denounced by a player who judged I made too much points (he was right, this monkey...)

Be aware that official players can report you to the technical department (only) during multiplayer events. (They can see your level and your stats)
There's nothing worse than a paying player being beaten easily by a player using a mod.
