How to extract images from an (.APK) file?

So you want to extract an image from an application? It can be done from both PC & Android. The basic thing you need is a file archiving tool. Here's is the apps that I recommend using:

For PC: 7-Zip or WinRAR.
For Android: ZArchiver

STEPS TO FOLLOW
~ These steps is applicable to both PC & Android.

1. Rename the APK file to a ZIP file, for example, change "app.apk" to "app.zip" using the file archiver.

2. Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a folder.

3. Once extracted, navigate to the "res" folder to access the resources of the app, which includes images.

4. In the "res" folder, you will find various sub-folders that correspond to different resource types such as "drawable" and "mipmap".

5. Open the "drawable" or "mipmap" folders to access the images used in the app.

6. Now these folders can be of many names such as dpi, xhdpi or hdpi or mdpi, etc. You have to go through each folders to find the images as per your requirement.

7. You will get all the images used in that app in ".png", ".jpg" & ".webp" format. You can copy them to your device's gallery or edit them using image editing software or edit it in online.

This concludes the post, hopefully this helped you.
