You're Jak, a quiet hero in the making. Jak and sidekick Daxter are playing on Misty Island a wee bit close to a pit of Dark Eco. Daxter falls in and crawls out looking like a fused otter and weasel. The two visit the village's local wise man, the Green Sage, to transform him back. But the Magical Ports from one island to the other have shut down, and the only way to reach the more knowledgeable wise men that could help him is to embark on an adventure, of course.
