dude this is not fair :'( how come all good games have ios mods free but not android? :'((
Android versions usually have stronger protection and mods can be patched faster than ios versions.
Also, theres way way more users that can access android, as almost everyone has access to an android emulator; but there's no iOS emulator and you need to jailbreak your ios device and you need to be in the appstore that ofers that game (else you cannot even download the original).

A vip android mod released for free can easily reach 10k downloads in 5 days, and get patched just a week after release (just as it happened with Sword Master Story).
Same game's mod released on iOS may get 100 players in 2 weeks.

Is it possible to mod Sword Master Story for ios though?

Also, wouldn't there be a way to obfuscate the newly written mod so they wouldn't know how we exactly modded their app? I think that would prolong the longevity of the mod even further right?
In the same way we can end up bypassing game's protection, devs can also bypass our mod's protection and reverse our stuff to prevent our method from working.

Difference is we are a small team doing this stuff because we enjoy doing this (and for free), while they belong to a company that makes business by protecting games and get paid big money for preventing mods.

I see, that makes sense. If that's the case, how about making paid guides that explain how to mod hard games? Wouldnt you guys make some good money while also making it harder for them to stop the mods since there will be different kinds of mods? I think that might be a crazy smart idea, not sure if it has some downsides though
Has several downsides.
These "paid" guides are already made by pentesters (like the classic White Hat Hacker); they get paid for encountering vulnerabilities (and maybe even fixing them).
Devs could also pay to see these, and people don't learn from seeing how-to's of this stuff (as you can't understand if you lack knowledge and experience in the field).
(A good analogy would be some archaeologist copying runes' symbols in his notepad, and then making a copy of it. Archaeologist may never know what these say)
If a guide was made, all the different mods' "hard part" would be just copy-cats that would be killed inmediatelly (by the same previous reasons).

The amount of knowledge requiered to pull stuff like this is worth several years of being good at this, and the price these guides would acquiere are worth in the thousands; amount noone will be willing to invest.
