There are many other games that are server-sided, some content is not server-sided. Like the stat of the characters and things like that.
Skullgirls is server-sided, SAO is server-sided, I mean in this day and age all mobile games are server-sided. so they could protect their currency but they can't protect the data and stats of the game. Unless if we're talking cloud gaming where every data you see on your screen, is getting uploaded in real-time to your device. This is not the case here. You have 7 GB of data on your phone there must be a way to alter stuff inside. Maybe add DPS/add DEF.
I hope a modder can give us a final answer to let this lay to rest.
