It work normally; but you can easily get banned since normal player can't use it.

I find a page from FB where admin sell special items for in-game chars, even they are limited event items... How the hell they can do that.
They even can unbanned your acc for sure... I think they know the developer of this game since they come from same place!!
 
I have been playing this game for more than a week. And I can still play arena mode without getting banned. You just need to use a mod when your connection is off. And don't receive Opal rewards above 50,000 at once.
And don't buy the Battle Pass levels up to the maximum level.
