Change the language in the top left corner of the start screen
I just did it and I'm not stuck anymore, go through all of the story bit in the other language and then you'll eventually get back to the bit where you can select to prepare or to go to battle, close the game as it would've saved by then and then re open the game, change back to your language at the start menu and then load the game again.
