What error are you talking about? In the first mission you have to perform some basic tasks to be able to get out of there.
I think they're referring to the black bar with the word "Sparklite" that covers the majority of the top section of the screen. It covers the top portion of the UI and makes it difficult to view that info.

Just the all the mod is not working, already tried playing. Noticed too that it wasn't unlocked.
