Hey there, the damage mod won't work on raids. After every battle they send all battle data to server so your damage and info can be counted so if there's any report it's easy to get ban.
In any case, i'll be changing the mod on next update and fix some issues.

Both. I mean atk & def

Not really
My advice is use hero with AoE skill or AoE basic atk. Because sometime when enemy using AoE skill, they can wiped out your team.
