Do you know why you feel bad or convicted when you do something wrong?
The Bible says God has written His law on the human heart:
«“I will put My laws upon their heart, and on their mind I will write them.” — Hebrews 10:16»
«“They show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them.” — Romans 2:15»
That is why people feel guilt, conviction, or shame even while trying to justify sin. Conscience bears witness because God’s moral law exists.
The Bible is clear that sin is serious:
«“For the wages of sin is death…” — Romans 6:23»
«“The soul who sins shall die.” — Ezekiel 18:4»
«“You will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” — John 8:24»
PSA (Penal Substitutionary Atonement) is biblical:
- Penal = Christ bore the punishment for sin
- Substitutionary = He died in the place of sinners
- Atonement = Through His sacrifice we are reconciled to God
( ONLY IF YOU BELIEVE!! IN HIM )
Jesus was sinless, yet He took the judgment sinners deserved:
«“But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities…” — Isaiah 53:5»
«“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree…” — 1 Peter 2:24»
«“We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” — Hebrews 10:10»
The message of Scripture is consistent:
sin leads to death, conscience testifies against evil, Christ bore sin’s penalty, and eternal life is found through faith in Him.
