Yes. The very minute you load into the game, you'll be placed in a Full Marks group. If you or anyone else in your group gets reported for suspected cheating, Jam City has to analyze everyone's accounts and you'll be banned within a few days. The only way to avoid it is to not play the game at all while the event is active. Don't even touch the app. Spend your week doing something else.

I am sorry, if what I am asking is obvious for you, I just started playing yesterday. I cannot see anywhere in game shop possibility to buy pages for gems. Is this also some type of an event that happens from time to time? When I was googling how to farm pages everybody say that Full Marks is the best option, though as i see in case of a modded game it's not an option.

Pages can be edited via GG but cannot be bought via gems they are sold in boxes in brilliant bargains usually(sometimes even standalone there so you get more via using hack from this mod but i made them 200k with GG).

Updates are distributed to random users at random times. G-bo can't hack the .apk if he hasn't gotten it yet. Be patient. Besides, Full Marks starts in 2 days, so you might as well start your week-long break from the game early. It won't be safe to play again until February 2nd at 10PM UTC.
