I'm not using the play store version been using platinmods version after I found this site which was sometime last year or two. I know the basic info when using play store to delete that to use the cheated version learned all that last year. So not sure why the app updates up crashes the game when trying to enter the game. Also will mention it was crashing when I did try getting on but I figured that would been bc it needed a update which is where I'm at now. So I can delete the platinmods version without losing any progress and reinstall it to see if that will fix the problem? I think I got off android around October. I know I was doing Halloween event, had to take a break from it.

I would try once more just installing the 5.7.1 version of the mod over your current install, but otherwise I'd guess that your current install is corrupted in some way.

I had a problem a while back on my second account where the game became very laggy all of a sudden, so I uninstalled the game completely and reinstalled it from scratch and my account continued to work alright after that, so hopefully a full uninstall-reinstall would work for you as well.

Please note that I was actually linked to facebook on that account. I didn't need to reenter my details as the account still worked automatically after reinstalling, but it is safer to have some method of recovering your account.

What you should like is not the update announcement, the one that you should like is the first post, this is the one that you need to like so then you can get the link to download the game

Clearing game data does not work if you have current game progress with modded version prior to FB bind.

Mod version gives you fixed ID, so if you have on going progress, delete it by choosing New Game under game settings. Then install 5.2.2 version, it takes a little longer but the pop up box with option Later should appear.

Then on character creation, it should let you bind your FB account. This worked for me.

Just curious, are there beyond players here? Or players past Y7C20? The spreadsheet says " The Year 7 Chapter 20 Manticore lesson is causing problems with the Chapter not registering as completed. You will likely need to contact Game Support to get them to autocomplete the lesson/chapter for you. " And I was wondering if anyone using the mod is past this point.

I have 2 accounts that are in beyond hogwarts/ year 8.

The y7ch20 manticore bug was a while ago and is fixed for new accounts. What happened was that when y7ch20 released, the manticore lesson was accidentally available for players who were below y7ch20 at the time (sometimes even as early as y6). If a player completed the manticore lesson early then when they reached y7ch20 for the first time the game wouldn't progress to y7ch21 as the manticore lesson wasn't counting for chapter completion, and as they had already completed the lesson it wasn't available to do again.

I have stated the precondition for this method is only for players who have linked their game id to a fb account. I have multiple accounts and have interchangeably went backforth to unins and ins before ver. 5.3.0 was came out (the start of this fb log in bug). Clearing the game data is akin to log out from your game, but you can log in again by reloading your saves from fb. Hence why I don't recommend it if you haven't linked your account yet.

If you choose to reset your progress (by going through game settings like you said), how would you recover your current progress? Unless you have already linked your current id to a fb account, I cannot think this method would let me play again with my old id which have progressed significantly. It will be lost forever.
