Either way, there's nothing that can be done to fix it. For mobile games, mods inevitably come with glitches. If the glitch is preventing you from making progress, you have to temporarily load your save on the vanilla app and play to get past it. If it's not preventing you from making progress, you just have to deal with it.

As far as I know, nobody got banned for applying to the last preview event. If you're really worried about it, then don't do it - you'll unlock this piece of content later on in the story no matter what happens. This is just a teaser for players who haven't gotten to Beyond yet. If you don't really care about the theoretical risks, then go for it.
