I think this is what happened with this new TLSQ. Part 3 prioritizes your exclusive partner and then whether you have befriended these friends or not. For Task 1, the option is between Chiara and Barnaby; whoever you date, you'll do the task with them. But, if you haven't befriended Chiara, you'll automatically get Barnaby regardless you're dating him or not. Task 2, Jae and Andre; the same with Task 1, but if you date neither of them AND haven't befriended Jae, you'll automatically get Andre. But, if you've befriended Jae, you'll get him. Task 3, Merula and Badeea; if your MC dates Merula, this is where the bug is, have to do both of them to advance your progress, otherwise you'll be stuck in Part 3 Task 3 (the good news is you can still finish the entire TLSQ despite the glitch). Task 4 will get you Andre regardless you are/aren't dating Talbott or have/haven't befriended him.

huh my main is exclusive with merula while my year 6 alt is exclusive with talbott(yes i gave myself stuff from rest of "partners" too)

I found the answer. This part has an option between Penny and Talbott. Under the condition you're exclusive with neither of them, you'll get Penny if you haven't befriended Talbott, otherwise it's automatically Talbott.

I also like Talbott's personality, he is smart and calm hence I have my FMC dates him. But, when my alt reaches Beyond, I'll switch to Callum lol

i remember if somone modified him they got negatives cause JC isnt giving him lvl 9 or something like that(as in GG modify our dating stats for him).

Thx so muuuch, that's exactly what I did, and I completed it without any problems. The problem is that it confused me because there were two tasks when there was supposed to be only one. As you said, I think it's the only one that happens in TLSQ. Seeing that, I started researching and came to that conclusion, but I wanted to know if it was true or if it was a bug or some other explanation.

When we met with the group for Task 3 of Part 3, since I'm exclusive with Merula, she mentioned something about us dating in the dialogues where we get stars. From then on, the TLSQ seemed strange to me, and I saw it exactly as that: as a TLSQ that prioritizes dating someone you're exclusive with or something.

You can't be exclusive with Callum, yet. He capped at level 6. This is an on-going issue and still haven't updated.

so they fr still dont let us go exclusive with him(and all that over what exactly did they not think of what he gives after exclusive quest yet or something).

Yes, as far as I know, this romance TLSQ is the only one which does something like this. Because of this, it messes up with JC's spaghetti code lol
