Use the signed one. But, it's highly recommended to have your account linked to facebook before using this mod. The same is true if you're transitioning. Read the FAQ (the best answer at the top of the page)

first make one account connected to fb next use signed version of mod cause unsigned is usually more of a hassle to get it to work anyway and there is not really much of need to need to do steps every time update comes here to get unsigned to work(never worked for me so i just stopped bothering with it).

You can only get magizoology exp by feeding and bonding with unmaxed creatures. If you use a maxed creature to go on expeditions, you're just wasting your pages and/or books.

Other sources for getting magizoology exp are from magizoology-exclusive wizarding tasks such as Magical Creature Safekeeping and Advanced Creature Research (Ministry of Magic - DOMCR) or ROCC Niffler Bonding (your flat - V1C19). If you can use GG, you can initiate one of these tasks and do as usual, otherwise you can just grind them like classes. But, these tasks are still wizarding tasks, they'll reward you house points during HP event.

It's in the description of the folders. The signed .apk is for non-rooted devices. The unsigned .apk is for rooted devices.

If you don't know what rooting means, you have a non-rooted device.
