Some modded games can't be updated like that that's why we asked.

Also some modded games don't work if you're doing it this way too.

There is also a risk to corrupt your file or flagged your account with some games if you're updating a modded game that way.

It hurts nobody to just ask for an update no need to be rude :s

Theres no New Update or Version of the Game, maybe your file is broken, try reinstall and download new data,

For those who had a problem need to go to playstore, try redownload the mod and install its to update your game. especially if you only download the mod when its first publish. and please refrain calling others idiot when they need help.

Uninstalled the game since clear data didn't work. Reinstalled the mod and the game worked again.

That's the only solution...

well i refuse to give solutions which i havent tested and its because the problem isnt replicated in my device

frankly i wanted to say to clear data/reinstall and stuff but i thought those were elementary fixes and stayed put from stating it
