That's very well possible. The game has Server checks. Please try to clear the storage (app reset) and check if it fixed it. Else try to reinstall the apk again

I had this issue before having the mod. Maybe is a problem with their servers. They fixed it but it's happening again.

Multiple have reported connection issues after the next play attempt. Please note that the game performs server checks, which I haven't disabled (yet). Please play carefully and only take what you need. Keep the multiplier low and don't purchase as many products in a row.

*according to @LaLaLavi these connection issues also happened before using the mod so that's mainly a server problem right now. Nothing I can fix at this point and in future points. If that happens, wait until they fixed their server. I can imagine they're doing some patches/additions and stuff like that.​
