Installing Apk W/ Obb or Data

I am confused about installing mod apk's with data/obb. I've read a handful of tutorials, but it's back n forth.
It's like half say to do the following:

Download Mod Apk
Download Obb / Data
Install Mod Apk
Copy downloaded obb or data folder to /Android/obb or data.
Start game (Mod Apk)

Then the other half say something like:

Download Mod Apk
Download Obb / Data
Install google play legit app, rename it's obb then uninstall the app.
Then install the mod apk.
Next Move downloaded obb or data to /Android/obb or /Android/data
Run game.

I am so confused.

Alright so let me try to simplify it for you

1. Go download the game to 1% in the app store then cancel it that will create the obb folder for the game

2. Install the mod apk but do not open it just press done when it's ready not open

3. Go to your file manager and then extract the obb to Android/obb/

4. Now it should have the obb file inside the obb folder so it should be good let me know if it works

And depending on the mod, some mods require you use the original obb from the original unmodified game. Some require you place the downloaded obb and extract the obb file into internal files/android/obb or SDcard/android/obb
