My copy runs in the background. As long as I don't actually CLOSE the app, I remain logged in.

As reported the app works fine but we have to login everytime after closing the app, and it does not sync with the health app , ss attached nor does it allow to sync app with the iwatch. @TheArmKing can you check on these
