Help! modding in android(no pc)

Ok i know its not ideal especially as someone who's never modded b4 but i only had a tablet so id have to deal with it-

So far I'm using Np manager to view the apk edit xml, turn dex into jar (not java bc it doesn't work for me) I haven't found any decent jar decompiler app only online but it's a pain to download each class file one by one if anyone knows a java decompiler app it'd be a great help for me

Honestly, skip the Java decompiler hunt - on-device Java decompilers are rare and painfully slow on a tablet anyway. MT Manager can decompile dex straight to smali, which is what most Android modders actually edit for logic changes; smali looks intimidating, but for small tweaks like return values or simple conditions it is very learnable. The Android Tutorials section here has beginner smali guides that start with one-line edits, which will get you further than downloading class files one by one.

Seconding the MT Manager suggestion, and one mindset tip that saves a lot of frustration on a tablet: stop chasing a Java decompiler. On-device Java decompilers barely exist, and even when you get readable Java you cannot compile it back into the APK on the device anyway. The workflow that actually works phone/tablet-only is: open the APK in MT Manager, use its Dex Editor to open classes.dex, and edit the smali directly. Smali looks scary for a day and then clicks - most beginner edits are tiny, like changing a const value for coins or flipping a boolean check. Pair that with APK Editor for XML and resource edits and GameGuardian for finding which values to change, and you have a full no-PC setup. Start with an offline game and one small change at a time, re-sign, install, test. That loop teaches faster than any big tutorial.
