The fact that the linked pages has this text int it:
"Trust mods from the PMT/Approved team or labelled as “tested” - they’re verified beyond what any scan can do."
Tells me it's total bullshit!
What is this, blindly trust the mods because they know better than the developers of all antivirus suites?
How do they know better?
Can they magically read the source code of proprietary (closed-source apps?
This is now F-droid where the maintainers of the repository have access to the source code of all the apps they build!

My previuos message was just informative, why I'm not going to use as the number of detections passed a certain threshold.
Which means that the chances of being just false-positives or mistakes, decreased, so I'm not going to use it.
It was not meant to start a debate.

Then please go and use another website if you can find one gives you peace in mind. Your paranoides cannot be healed here. You are not made to use mods. You are a perfect example of how good it works for Google to scare people from using mods with fake detection. And we won't also stop protecting mods with obfuscation which might cause detection because of people like you, we won't give our hard work in thieves hands to copy just because of your afraidness.

If this mod would do anything bad to someone this thread would be full of people reporting that, don't you think? Or do you think we delete such comments? Is your comment deleted? Do you think we could spread viruses and survive for a decade without consequences? And if there is a virus, why only some of the antivirus detect it and not all of them? If its clearly a virus, then it should be detected by 80% of the antiviruses taking into account that 20% are shit, not the other way around. If only 20% detects it, then because only 20% got paid to detect it, not because the other 80% are shit antivirus scanners.

Simple bro, stick to use original games/apps. That's the only way for you to go. We giving you also in that article advises how you can confirm it yourself by using it first on virtual environments but it seems like you expect someone to come to your home and to PROOF to you that it will clean. Nobody gonna do that. If you are afraid, then simply don't use it. Complaining about it won't change anything. This is a literally "take it or leave it".

I am that hard to you because you freaking out already about 3 of 56 detections, there are mods with way more and still clean lol, you gonna jump out of the window then?

First, Google has not scared me of anything as I don't use any of its services, except for Youtube and LineageOS, which is based on AOSP.
Second, I am a programmer, pretty tech-savvy and I'm a Debian and F-droid user, which means privacy and security is very important to me and I know that those could only be guaranteed by transparency, which means open source software.
There is though a weakness in that, which reproducible builds solves, that Debian and F-droid have and use to build their packages and apps.

But I will stop here, as here clearly any kind of security level is not acceptable and the moment someone reports something security related, somebody jumps on him / her with the "ad hominem" attack (paranoid) or with the "ad populum" attack (others would've complained about it too, if that were true).

I know that here is a "Take it or leave it", but I didn't know that free speech, information, observations are not accepted.
I cannot have any respect for people who are against free speech, which is actually the only right that protects the other rights and makes society advance and helps people avoid some bad things for them, if they are true.
I prefer to let people speak about what they think, why they choose or not choose a product, even if they are wrong, as there are cases when they might be right.

Honestly really pissed off how the dev enforces licensing. If you ever bought this on a Google phone and end up with de-Googled phone, you can't transfer the license, you are forced to buy it again. Pirating this one is fully justified.
