So I found a workaround for those who experience crashing (like I did). Go to settings -apps and the app. Clear the storage and uninstall. Turn off device, wait a bit and then reboot it. Then reinstall the app and it should work (now let's hope it doesn't stop working again)

A much better work around is to use the widget or use the tile when you swipe down
