That data download happens on the very first run, so the game needs a good connection and around 200MB of free space. Disable any VPN and keep the app open during the download — switching away can interrupt it on some phones. If it fails outright, clear the app's cache and storage, then relaunch and let it retry over Wi-Fi.

no vpn used at all at the time. using wifi, still failed to download the data. cleared the game's storage. same thing occured. its the apk problem bro
