Umm, for input GNaFF, your mod does work, but only VISUALLY.. Actually, not.. because in this game, as long as you have hp you'll still be able to attack.. so essentially if the enemy can't attack, it's the same as one hit in a sense of "you only need one battle to win against any enemy no matter how high their HP is".
If you notice, when it's your turn, yeah, you can deal damage, and right after it looked like your turn again, but if you look closely, there's no inflicted damage on the enemy..
So actually the enemy still attacks like normal, but it's just that the animation is shown as your turn..
Or you can also notice by skipping the battle scene against high hp enemies, you'll see that your hp is reduced, and it shows that the enemy ACTUALLY still attacks like normal, because if the enemy can't attack, like i said at the start, your hp won't decrease..and as long as you have hp you'll keep attacking.. and because you keep attacking (because you still have hp) that means sooner or later the enemy will die in one battle..
so the fact that you need more than one battle against high hp enemies shows that the mod works, but only visually, not technically..
