That ad driven spyware is so invasive that even China has shut them down repeatedly.

"Chongchong Assistant is a mobile game product and content service platform operated by Xiamen Chongchong Network Technology Co., Ltd. It was established in 2019, with its predecessor being Shanghai Zhangyue Technology Co., Ltd., registered in 2014. The platform provides services such as mobile game downloads, game information, player communities, and item trading. It features three main sections: Free Games, Premium Games, and Chinese Games, along with an Overseas Section. It supports functions like Localization, Speed Gear, and Cloud Save.

In August 2021, Chongchong Assistant was removed from app stores by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for its version 4.2.8 due to deceiving and misleading users into downloading. After being selected for a mobile game platform ranking in 2022, it added features such as Customized Game Details and Server Launch Reminder. In March 2024, the platform was again notified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to rectify issues related to forcibly requesting permissions."

As this was added to the developers version and is spyware even by Chinese standards, it is inexcusable that it is knowingly being promoted.
