To be safe, just use the mod once you encounter a wall that you're struggling with. Other than that, go default for everything. Treat the mod as some sort of friend support/mercenary. That's what I've been doing with Outerplane and Tower of Gods which are two games with fast cheat detection. Just be very modest with it and never ever use it on PVP.
