I mean the save I uploaded was able to be moved to another device & downloaded & still showed the bells / money of the save prior to uploading so if a apk can't be done then a modded save can be

Looking for a volunteer to test the device transfer.

Require:
1. Bought the game on iOS.
2. Has a save file that has already finished the game tutorial. (Prefer to be a starter one that is not important.)
3. Register a new Nintendo account to upload the save. (Please don't give me your main account.)

Steps:
1. Upload your save according to the in-game instructions.
2. Send me the login credentials so that I can download your save.
3. I will put max leaf tickets and max balls on the save.
4. I upload the edited save file.
5. You will need to delete your game/data on your phone to start fresh.
(Note that you will need to download the game and the ~2GB data pack once again. Please have a stable Wifi connection.)
6. Select the device transfer option at the start and download the edited save.
7. Check and let me know if both max leaf tickets and max balls are still there.

I believe a single save can be shared and not cause issues. Game is offline now.

There is a magic number in the save file.
Although I don't think it will cause any problems, I don't want people sharing the same save file with the same magic number.
Who knows what problem it might cause in the future?

Doable. Not advisable.
Since everyone's save will have the same unique identifier. Might cause a problem if Nintendo starts adding checks in the future.

Not unlimited, just visually has a max visual. Value is decreasing, once it decreases below max visual, then you'll know current balance. Could always find the encrypted and figure out what the true value is.

Edited save file works fine with a non-rooted Android device too. Neither my phone nor the game kicked up a fuss about it. Totally awesome and amazing. Thank you @EmanYalpsid


I second the sentiment that it is unfortunate there is no easy answer yet to the save file or bells and leaves situation. Would make things so much easier for the kind souls willing to edit files for people on here that are having trouble doing it themselves. I agree with the caution though. I can see Nintendo adding checks in the future if they learn a lot of people are editing their files. 'Hmm.... why are there a thousand players out there with the same file number? Jamie, look into that!'

My guess is that making a modded apk with bells and leaves is going to be difficult because of the extra 2GB download the game does after installation. It may overwrite the modded values. I hope people can figure it out though. That would be amazing!

If we cant replace the file localy 1:1 and it will require a download then yes it will overwrite it, so the nintendo account save & restore function seems the best way for now ill guess.
