After update,mod doesn't work

anyone on rooted phone can verify this workaround?
1) install mod and play as usual
2) once you made decent progress, install clean version over modded apk
3) save progress
4) replace with modded apk whenever you want to progress

i used to have rooted phone but the finance apps wont work thus i have unroot my phone. i use this workaround previously
