Is the only way to login via the transfer method? I haven't played in over a year and somehow when I updated the APK my account wasn't signed in (odd I thought). Google login didn't work so is transfer code from Bandai directly the only way for now?

First download the official one
Choose your google acc that you want to play with
Dont worry proceed on connecting your google acc that you wish to transfer t
Now at the part where they ask you to accept terms and condition dont press continue or accept but stop at that part
Close your app delete it
Then install the platinmod dokkan battle app
Connect to your google acc
Proceed on like per normal
When you click on google acc now you should be able to continue on like before
