First steps: -Save a backup of your idle obelisk save to another device (probably your phone)
-Download, launch, and log into idle obelisk on Google Play for windows (idk if its different on MacOS or Linux)
-Open cheat engine and change two settings:
-Enable MEM_MAPPED under Scan Settings
-Enable Read/Write Process Mem under extra (some fanangling might need to be done but cheat engine will guide you through it)
-Find the Application Address for Obelisk and then find and open the corresponding Process address (Will not work if you open the Application Address directly) The process should be called crosvm.exe
Value Searching/Modifying: (Read the flagging section before changing values)
- All relevant values are stored as Double
- All relevant values will have 6 copies in cheat engine, changing any one of them will change all of them so it doesn't matter
- Any changes will be instant and can be done while the application runs
Safe Values/Flagging:
There is risk of your save getting flagged which will lock you out of several key parts of the game. This is why we have a backup.
There are a few signs for if your save has been flagged.
- Gem Upgrades no longer appearing in the store
- Red Currency appearing under gems
- Changes you made being undone
The Values I know for certain are safe are:
- Tier 1 & 2 items (Not Time Turners)
- Cherry Bomb Charges (I've added up to and used up to 10m at once with no flagging)
- Gifts in Small increments (What I've been doing is setting my gifts to 100 then when I get low again I set them back and I've yet to be flagged)
Others have reported gifts in large increments being flagged
- Archeology Seconds
- Skill Shards (The item that you combine to make skill points)
Known Dangers:
-Do not modify Gems
-Do not modify Gem Bombs
-Do not modify Freebie Packs
-Do not modify Gifts in large quantities
-Do not modify Time Turners
A general rule of thumb is to only modify recource values and to only modify recources that can be obtained endlessly (with the exceptions stated above). Also if there is a cap on an item amount such as coal and bombs then stay under the cap.
