Sadly it's visual as i tested. Mobs need time like 7sec to move close to you then start hitting. With mode ON they "freeze" for 7sec also(time when they move to you without mod) and then start hit you. In low lvls it's looks like they dumb and didn't hit you, because you kill them in less then 7sec, but as higher you go and need more time to kill mob, you notice that it's visual only:(
