If its from the source I think it is, on the left side of the popup should be a black bar besides the "update" button. Click on that black bar and the popup should disappear and you'll be able to use the application, however, this isn't a permanent solution as you'll have to do that everytime you open the app.

Note(s): As what @DaRealPanDa has mentioned, simply click the black area beside the update button and you can get past the update. But it is extremely annoying as it appears consistently so bare of that.​
