I had that problem before but i cleared my data and started over it's fixed itself, probably with one of the updates.

Mods seems to stay in some of the 1.x version. Can't progress to 2nd map, can't build better buildings (shops lvl 6, etc.).
Nice mod, but (somewhat) unusable, sadly

Hey guys, I found a way to move forward and bypass the bugs that happen with the mod. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Download the original game from the Play Store.
2. Go through the tutorial (it’s fine if you don’t hire the first adventurer).
3. Make an online backup and save your backup code.
4. Download the game on another device or an emulator with the mod installed.
5. Increase your gold, prayers, and gems — but don’t give yourself anything else or leave the village.
6. Once you’ve raised everything, make another online backup.
7. Download that backup on the device with the original Play Store version of the game.

And that’s it — everything works perfectly! I haven’t reached the map change yet, but I’ll keep you posted. The “Change City” button already works fine though.
